While my PC is acting wonky I had no option but to play on my GB Micro...

Mario Party Advance tries to bring the famous Mario Party from the Game Cube to the GBA, is it succesfull? Well, sorta...

Since it's a portable system the multiplayer function isn't a priority, and playing since it's the only Mario Party with a story mode for one player...

The story mode is quite simple, too simple actually, you just move around a board, completing quests, that most of the time requiere you to move to another part of the board and back again...

Not much of mini game, right? Also you will get "mystery" or "quiz" quest where you must simply answer some usually very easy questions...

There ARE mini games, whihc are just too simple most of the time...

The objective of the game is to retrieve "gadgets", that have been scattered around the land, the gadgets themselves are only mildly amusing, they try to imitate the gadgets you get in Wario Ware Touched, but since the GBA doesn't have a touch screen or a mic, they just can't do much...

After beating a few quests, Bowser will open a special challenge, a boss stage of sorts, these challenges are midly challenging, and don't give you any trouble...

The thing the game is just too easy, if you lose a challenge, it will be magically easier next time you play it...

After you beat the main mode, you play the minigames for money to buy extra gadgets, and guess what?

All of the sudden the games are acutally hard! But it's not really worth playing them just to get the gadgets...

So it's not that great, but it shows promise, a promise that if they ever make a sequel for the Nintendo DS, and use the touch screen and mic, it could be a VERY sweet game!
