If there is one thing I can say about this game is that it's beautiful, and I'm talking about the Ubisoft one, which is beautiful game too, but this one is still eye candy after all these years...

The plot is something straight from 1.001 Arabian Nights, the evil vizier will kill the princess in out hour unless the prince rescues her...

Calling this game a platormer wouldn't be fair, it has many puzzle and stategic moments in it, not to mention you have to fight the vizier's henchmen if you want to make to the end...

The gameplay is simple, the vizier captured you and you somehow escaped your cell and start in the dungeon comepletely defenseless, your first task is to find something to defend yourself against the many henchmen guarding the castle...

You'll find that guards aren't your only problem, the dungeon is full of deadly traps, spikes that come out of the floor, deadly metal "jaws" that will slice if you don't time your steps and even the floor under your feet can fall and bring you to your doom, fortunately if you keep a sharp eye you can easily spot the trap tiles and the week ones...

The game can be pretty intense some times giving you trap after trap to make your way through, and something you must fight a henchmen with your back to a deadly spike filled pit!

As you progress you'll eventually leave the dungeon and notice it when you see how beautiful the palace gets as you progress, but it also gets deadlier!

Between some levels your get to see the princess worrying sick over you, and soon you'll encounter a magical mirror in your way, the moment you jump through it a mirror you will come out the other side to make your life impossible...

At the final level with tiles crumbling down everywhere you fight the vizier himself, and it's the most intense fight ever, and then you'll finally reunite with your beloved princess!

There is one final thing I should say, I played the one included in the recently released "Prince of Persia Collector's Editon", which is supposed to be a special edition, yet it's exacty the same as the original, it even has the same copy protection, so I had to fetch the original manual which apparently isn't included in this pack...
