Game journal Jan 07b: Prisoner of Ice

You tell the game is short just by seeing the minimal gap between my posts, right?

I must confess I've never read of Lovecraft's books (even though I have a plush Cthulhu), so I don't know if it's gonna please the Lovecraft fans, yet the plot was interesting enough for me, even though it wasn't very original...

One of the things I like about this game is that it has a very special save system, if you screw up, it automatically creates a "joker" file that takes places right before the dangerous part starts, giving you another chance no matter how much you messed thing up!

The game is quite short, and if they usually give you a lot of hints of what to do next, making the game easier...

The plot does go a bit out of control near the end, like in Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, but just not as bad...

Even though it's short and not that hard I enjoyed it and even though it's probably no better than the Frankenstein game I just played for ONE sole reason: NO FRUSTRATION!

Although it wasn't that challenging, I didn't feel like throwing something at the screen like I did at some moments with the previous game...

I can't day much more about this short game except that it have been a bit longer and it needed a few more puzzles, and the result is a slight above aveage game...

I'm all gamed out, I don't think I'll play another game till next week, at least not another adventure that is...:P
