Monday:

Nada, zilch... Too busy!

Tuesday:

I tried to play Shannara, but it refused to run no matter how much I messed with DOSBox, Death Gate, which uses the same engine and is made by the same people, DID work...

I had the feeling that I had played this game before, but I didn't remember beating it... that is until I reached the end I remembered I did... Oh well, I was a couple of clicks away from the end, so I beat it!

Ok, it's time for old Sierra games... There is no way I'm not playing these without a guide, they're so evil I might mess up WITH a guide!

King Quest IV: THE LEGEND OF THE PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS! What was the first task this heroic princess did? SHE CLEANED A HOUSE! GIRL POWER!

She also had a climb a whale's giant tongue.... Must... not... make.... obvious... joke...

Wednesday:

King's Quest V:

Dang, that owl is kinda annoying... Hey! King's Quest has stopped being a bunch of fairy tales sown together and is a bit more original! HUZZAH!

Oh wait... the ending is ripping off that Disney movie about the King Arthur and Merlin....

King Quest VI:
Oh... we're back to ripping off fairy tales again... Let's see we have the island of Wonders, which is ripping off Alice in Wonderland... and the Island of the Beast... Hmm... He wants me to with her a "beauty"... that's familiar!

And a labyrinth with a... minotaur? HOW ORIGINAL!

This game also has the most annoying copy protection ever....

Since I already beat King's Quest VII and I don't want to play Mask of Eternity yet, I'm done with King's Quest for now....

Thursday:

It's a Holiday over here, HUZZAH!

Quest for Glory I:
The Wizard's minigame is the MOST annoying game ever, you have to get a bug to the other end of the screen, but the bug goes whereever it likes, thank God you can sabotage your enemies bug....

I almost ruined my game by attacking the antwerp... When I left his area he kept squishing me, thank God I found out you could just stick to the walls to make it past his wrath of squishy doom!

Quest for Glory II:
What do you mean my imported character is corrupted? Damn! I have to start from zilch!

OH GOD! I HATE THIS TOWN! WHO LIVES IN A GIANT MAZE? Wait.... The map is magic and teleport me to anywhere I want? Oops....

Ok.. that wasn't so bad....

Friday:

Oooh! Peggle on the iPhone for less than a dollar! And Blueberry Garden looks nice! Two games added... Oops!

Quest for Glory III:

The import worked! I'm a magic Paladin! HUZZAH!

First medieval Europe, then Arabia, now Africa? Oh.... It has monkeys in it! HUZZAH!

My favorite so far!

Satrurday:

I was busy moving my site, but while I waited for the change to take effect, I played Quest for Glory IV.

Transyvania! OOoh! And this game has pretty good, and famous voice actors in it!

I love Dr. Cranium! He creates a smexy frankenbabe and says he needs lots of time to "study" her... Yeah. right!

The plot twist actually caught me off guard, why part of it was obvious, the part that wasn't did surprise me!

I had to move my site back to it's original server, so while I waited I played...

Blueberry Garden:

It's pretty basic, and you start you see a faucet running, so you know you have to stop it before it floods your garden, it's basically about exploring, finding item that go back to middle of the area where you stand on them so you can glide further, and find out what each berry does and how it can help you....

The game doesn't end when you turn the faucet, but you'll have to find out that yourself!

It does have a few bugs though....

Dear Esther:

What the hell is this? I thought this was going to be scary or at least creepy, but it was just walking and talking! The cave was creepy for a second, but it wore off fast...

This game is so confusing... Am I playing as the person whose voice I'm hearing? I this some sort of arfterlife hell thing for him?

Frankly I don't see the point of this game, you walk and you hear a voice, if you walk the wrong way... you hear a voice telling you to "Come back!", if you disobey you die! So it's bascically on rails... and you don't really do anything apart from walking... where they want you to walk...
This should have been a movie I just don't see the point of making this interactive at all....

Sunday:

I could get my site to work, so I just pointed it to the original server and hoped it would eventually  start working again...

While I waited I played...

Quest for Glory V:

I'm pretty sure they knew this was their last game, they upped the ante a little too much...

Many of the character from the series return and there are others that should remind you of older characters... but they lack their charm...

I didn't give a damn about the mad scientists, I didn't give a damn about the gnomes... Or even my old "friends"... they just didn't feel right...

As the grand finale you have to do some silly rituals to become the king of a land whose last king was assasinated...

You start with something as simply as getting rid of invaders until eventually you have to do more and more ridiculous stuff... Go to Hell and back! Find Atlantis! I'm surprised they didn't ask me to kill a god or find a cure for cancer....

I really just stopped caring... and it was a good thing that this was one of the few Sierra games where you can't screw up as badly as the others... most "puzzles" have multiple solutions, so you can always find another way...

Near the very end, the game kept crashing while I fought the final battle, or the game ended for something I didn't do... Yet I somehow won..

And yeah... while they do leave the chance of a possible sequel, they did wrap things up so you wouldn't be left hanging if it never arrived...

I think I'll try to beat what I have left of Sierra games, the whole Space Quest series, I don't remember beating any of them, and the Police Quest ones.... I'm hoping to beat at least the Space Quest series?
