poisonrational just asked about a show she forgot the name of, which reminded that I have a show which I don't the remember the name of too! I better ask before I forget! DX

It's real live action, not a cartoon...

It's a comedy, a parody of all those hospital drama series... possibly from the 70's-80's?

I only remember a few characters, I think it had the obligatory jerk, the "hero", the love interest... that's about all the characters I remember....

I don't know if the couple ever got married, but they had a kid.... A VERY obvious plastic toy prop if memory serves me well...

They then found out they were brothers, so they broke up and the "hero" kept the kid... And breast fed it?

I remember some scenes very well, the doctor enters some closet where he keeps a bike, a momento from his past.... I think he had amnesia and this is the only thing from his past that the remembers? There was a bottle of milk in the bike's tray, which he tried to drink, it was obviously rancid...

Then the nurse saw they bike and said that it belonged to his brother or something like that, and that's when they figure out they are brothers...

I also think the hospital ended up in space for some reason... it was a very silly series and I think it didn't have much of a budget....

I searched on Google and IMDB and I can't find anything...

The only I remember but I'm not sure of is that characters might have silly or punny names?

uhhh... man, that's not ringing any bells at all.

Do you have a good enough memory about any of it to draw a picture?

Not really.. I think they weren't super attractive and the hero MIGHT have hair to his jaw? But I think I might be getting it confused with another series here... :/

Was it network or syndicated? Do you remember what station it was you watched it on?

SCTV did a soap opera parody as part of their program. This was in the early Eighties, before the talk shows began to dominate late-night programming. I suppose it wouldn't have been hard to collect those segments together into a separate program if they wanted to.

I have no idea... If I remembered who made I would have looked it up there...

Do network TV shows even get broadcast in other countries? I live in Spain, but I know it was American.

It used to be that most of the shows that America exported to the rest of the world were aired on a network first. That began to change in the Eighties, but your dramas and comedies mainly are made for the networks.

Canada produces their own TV shows too. When I lived in Erie (a small city between Cleveland and Buffalo) we sometimes tuned in to the Canadian programming. Sometimes it got very strange. Perhaps the show is Canadian.

Further research through both Wikipedia and tvtropes.org has been fruitless. The biggest candidates I could think of were Soap and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman--neither of which fit what you describe. Most of the Canadian comedies listed on Wikipedia are too recent. Dunno what else to tell you.
