Nintendo DS.... TOUCH ME!

Previous Entry Nintendo DS.... TOUCH ME! Feb. 18th, 2005 @ 11:18 pm Next Entry
Nintendo Europe had a limited special offer with which a few selected Nintendo users had the privilage of having the Nintendo DS a month before the rest and I was one of them, and yesterday they called me saying the package would arrive Friday morning...

Today is the day my Nintendo DS arrived, but not without problems...

For starters when cleaning a table cloth, by shaking the crumbs out the window, the TV remote which was still inside fell to an area hard to access between buildings...

The first floor belong to the city and is some sort of youth center, there were kind enough to let me in and out of their window to the area where my remote should be...

I finally found it cracked opened in pieces, but somehow they just snapped back together and worked!

The I tried to play Warcraft just to find the realm I was in gone! I panicked but soon found out it was just maintenance of the servers

So I just played World of Warcraft while waiting for the package and waited... and waited.... and waited...

At lunch time I called the company who is in charge of delivering them, which gave me the number of the nearest branch office which wasn't open yet, so I waited some more...

When I called them they said I couldn't do a thing without a tracking number, which they never gave me to start with, so I called Nintendo to ask for it... They were closed for the weekend...

I told myself it might arrive this afternoon, but I was lying to myself, or was I?

In Warcraft my character can cook and very well I might add, as a matter of fact I spent the afternoon on a quest to get the Master Cook Book, which was in a area with monsters of the highest level I have seen yet!

But I was stubborn, I got killed after a few steps each time, but I just returned and took a few more step, it soon began to be tedious when...

The bell door rang, my package sense tingled and I ran to the door (since my character was dead nothing bad could happen to him anyway), and you guessed it my DS was there!

I can't believe I did this but I actually played two games at the same TIME! Since Warcraft had autorun I just kept an eye on my Warlock to make sure he wasn't walking into a wall while I tried out the DS...

I was so giddy and jumpy I actually touched the touch screen with my bare finger, when it had a nifty pen thingie for that. I love the cool design and the touch screen I haven't tried the microphone or the wireless connection yet, but I will soon...

In the end I made to the village where the Master Cook Book was sold and logged off soon after that, because I was quite satisfied at that moment..

Now I want to hone my real world cooking skills and cook something yummy this weekend!

PS: Yesterday I got a copy of the last Skunny game, the one not made by Copysoft, but I only tested it...
