Busy a bumble bee! Hear me BUZZZ!!!

I can't believe everything worked out today, more or less, that is...

When I woke up, I knew I have several things to do in the big city, but I wasn't sure in which order I should do it and if I would have time for all of it! In the end, I decided for the risky, yet rewarding schedule...

I had to go to my bi-monthly check on the eye laser surgery progress, I got there VERY early but they had there for and hour and half or more, for a second I thought I wouldn't make it to the job interview, which was the only reason I WAS in the big city!

The doctor told me to come in 3 months and if I didn't make any progress, I should opt to a surgical retouching of the eye that can't see well yet... I hope I don't have to pay for it again, or at least not as much....

I made it to the interview in Starbucks, with more than enough time, and soon wondered if wearing a T-shirt to it was a good idea, when ever I go well dressed to an interview, the rest come in T-shirt and jeans, and now it was the complete opposite! The girls DID wear T-shirts, jeans and sneakers, but most men arrived in a more formal wear...

One of them, seem way too prepared for this, before showing us a slide show, they asked us what did we know about Starbucks, I said it serves coffe and buns, while the man I mentioned before made a small speech will "oddly" enough was nearly the exact words on one of the slides...

After that, they told us we'd play a game, and told us to talk to the person next to us and then tell the rest about him/her, which wasn't too hard, but then...

We figured out that wasn't the real game! The game was actually this:

-We had to roleplay, we were a group of people on a desserted island, and each of us, had a job, and a boat, but only ONE person could go on the boat to get help, and we had to convince the rest that we were the person for the job...

Guess what I got? FISHERMAN! OH, MAN! Talk about jackpot! The person who got the doctor argued that she would be able to take care of herself if she got hurt so she'd be more likely to make it, the "bussiness" said he was bloody rich and had a yacht so he knew how to sail, and he knew the president, and had many contacts which would get us out of her in a jiffy!

The architect gave up, which was OK, since we wanted her to stay to build houses for the rest, the cook argued that he could cook the food so he wouldn't starve during the voyage, but he didn't know how to get the food and the rest thought the cook should stay to feed the rest of us, the scientist and student used the same argument about how their knowledge would get them home in a jiffy, but I argued that they had never really been in the sea, or in a sea storm, and they soon gave up as well, the lawyer said he had contacts as well, but he argued we should send the convict because he would be more "street wise"...

I told them that I knew how to fish and could feed myself, I knew the sea better than anyone, and not only knew how to sail, but I knew where I was going! I said it doesn't matter if you have contacts, nobody would leave us on a island, I said we could make an agreement, and I could leave with a first aid kid from the doctor and some cooking utensils from the cooks, and the contacts of the bussiness man...

In the end, nearly half of them agreed with me, two agreed with the bussiness man, and the rest practically voted for them selves...

I don't know if winning the game is going to help me get the job or not, but still, it was cool...

After that I went to the temp job agency to pick up the cheque from working as a stock boy...

The cheque was much smaller than what the told me, a mere 160€! Chicken feed!

When I got on the bus I recieved a call, which I'm sure was from Toys R US, when ever I get a call at 13:50 it HAS to be a job interview! Too bad I couldn't hear the damn phone with all the street noise! I do hope they call again!

When I got back, my parents had sold nearly all the books to a guy that came yesterday, they got payed 170€ for... about 300 books! And I didn't get a penny out of it! At least 100, if not half of them were mine! My parents got VERY mad at me for asking for my share, which I think is quite unfair! It's my stuff, so it's my money, well part of it is my stuff, so part of it is my money!

I just called a place that accepted VHS tapes and gave a DVD discount coupon, but the offer JUST expired! Dang!

And now I have to decide what to put on Ebay next... My comic? My DVDs? My VHS? My mangas? I have no idea...
