Now that I've had it for a whole weekend I can talk a little more about it!
The console itself feels like a super PSP, since the menu system is the same as the PSP's, only with more features obviously. For some strange reason it seems to disconnect when it's online, but I managed to download a ton of demos.
Some of PSN games DON'T HAVE DEMOS and for some strange reason you have to install them after the download... I've yet to buy a PSN game, but it's obviously not as good as the XBLA system...
It does seem to use normal money instead of points, which is good, but it seems you have to put money in your account instead of simply buying something, so you can still have unused money on it, I presume?
The controller seems great, and the tilt sensor seems actually better than the Wiimote's? I've only played a few games, but I never had any of the "I'm doing what you're telling me to, why aren't you registering it?" I get with the Wiimote, except maybe with Heavenly Sword?
I guess I'll talk about the games now?
Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is a great game, it has tons of crazy weapons, and it's tons of fun, but getting the skill points and golden bolts doesn't seem worth the effort in this game. The tilt feature is used in the hacking mini game and when flying, and they both work perfectly... What more can I say, it's a Ratchet and Clank game, they are always good!
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty: Is an episodic Ratchet & Clank games, and it's great, but not as fun as the full game, since it's a small game, it's quite linear and you can't go back to get anything you missed, but it's not like you need to anyway. You don't get to buy new weapons and the ones you get are almost fully upgraded since you won't have time to upgrade them yourself. My only concern is that if there are enough episode, it will cost more than the full game...
Heavenly Sword: It's a God of War clone, only not as good, there is less to do, and less puzzles, you do have use the tilt feature often for something they call "truesight" in which you take control of something thrown or shot which works well enough, but I can't seem to use the tilt to make aerial combos...
The games is just fighting and more fighting, it's almost like a 3D Streets of Rage with swords, except the sword has three forms, one for ranged attack, one for power attacks, and the normal one.
The game commits what I consider and unforgivable sin, which is being a relatively easy game, but have an impossible final boss. In the game you'll find pots you can break to recover energy, even during boss fights you'll find two or three! But during the final boss? Nope! Not to mention he dodges too much and hits too hard, making frustrated pretty quick.
I don't why some many love it so much, even if the final fight was decent, it would still be a dumbed down God of War clone... The characters were interesting though...
Do people say it's better than GOW only because it looks better?
Uncharted: A Tomb Raider clone, it's just like TR: Legend and Anniversary, only it looks better and the shooting doesn't have auto aim, I've only played half of the game, but so far I'm enjoying it a lot.
