Half Baked Theater: I R LEGEND!
Dec. 17th, 2007 @ 10:19 pm
It's called "Half-Baked" for more than one reason.... :P
I just listened to the audiobook today, it reminded me of Vincent Price's Last Man on Earth, which made sense since the movie was based on this book!
I don't why know I was compelled to do this.... I may or may not do one again.. I dunno...
Well it is better then the movie, but again I don't see a good reason to see I am Legend.
Just watch the Last Man On Earth, it's basically the same but with Vincent Price and it's public domain! :3
Well I think I have seen it, and liked that because it was a sci-fi drama that deals with the fact there is no men and only women around. So a woman creates one. That could just of been a episode of Outer Limits.
That doesn't sound like the movie I mentioned? Vincent price was the last human, there were no males or females around!
Ok yea, I have seen it just the name threw me off is why I ask. When you have roulette wheel of possible movies you got to ask some questions to make sure of what movie people are talking about.
I was scared of the zombies for about a minute, and then I went "Ohhh! Bad CG! They look like Voldemort! Your body couldn't mutate to do that, even if you were infected with a crazy virus! Fuck these guys." It was entertaining and all, but nothing that would keep me up at night.
I'm curious to see how the screwed up the new version, I don't actually know a thing about the new movie... ^_^;
It stars Will Smith, right? Considering the older version had Vincent Price, it seems Will is not the right choice for this kind of film...
I've been told even the Vincent Price version (there have been 3-4 films based off the book now) didn't hold up to the book. But considering I haven't read the book or seen the other films, I have no basis for comparison.
I've seen the movie recently and the differences weren't that great, it's was merely less... depressing?
So I was right this was better then the movie.
