Busy as a bee... Some questions?

Previous Entry Busy as a bee... Some questions? Nov. 5th, 2007 @ 09:44 am Next Entry
I wanted to get a site for my comics when I reached 10 strips, I've got 20 and I still haven't done a thing!

But I'm not sure what to do!

Do I get my own site or do I join a community like Drunk Duck, Comic Genesis or similar that will help me out with setting everything up?

I want to have Kitchen Kaos AND the short stories I plan to do, but I doubt they'll want to see my pixel puns.... I also want a section for links, a cast page, and that sort of thing...

What do you recommend for to use on this site, as in stat counters, and other apps of that sort... I don't really know what to use... I never created a site before... ^_^;

And.... as a packrat, I have lots of  "junk"... junk I should try to get rid off, but instead of putting it all on Ebay, I guess it would be nice to offer some of it here first? Unfortunately most of my games are Pal and most of my comics are in Spanish...

I don't know if I should make a post with all the items, or just let people contact me and ask me directly?

I also have lots of freebies to give away, like those games that come with magazines that I would feel very guilty if I charged anybody for...

I don't even know where to start, I have DVDs, old Gameboy games, GBA games, Mega Drive games, PC games, and there are still many games I will probably see the minute I beat them...

Yo, 2 things. Thing 1 I use Smackjeeves.com it is really easy to update and cross post from. The forms are super simple. Thing number 2. Mega Drive is a way better name than Genesis (what its called in the States) for a video game system.

I got lucky. My parents already had a site up, so Daisy is just piggy backing off of that. I think you might have more freedom if you started your own site, but then you might get more publicity if you joined a community (really, I'm just guessing.) I think with your own site, you could update your comics on the main page, then have a link to another page where you could upload your pixel puns for anyone interested in seeing them. Although a webcomic community might be fine with that too. I have no idea how strict they are about content.

Keep us posted on this!
