OH MY GOD! It's the final countdown!

This is it! I might have my bedroom ready this weekend!

This might be the last few days I sleep on the sofa! YEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!

For some strange reason I couldn't find something to do for the weekend, but know I sure will be busy!

But this also means that I will finally know if have to sell more of my stuff, because what I can't fit in my room must go! T_T

I sure hope I don't have to sell anything I don't want to...

It also mean I must check to see if everything is there, and in one piece, just checking the videogames will take a week alone....

I finally get to hang the Wapsi print on the wall! EEEEEE!

I'll finally have my PC and bed in the same room! Boo-yah!

I'm excited, scared and confused at the same time!

It begins?

Hmm, it seems I won't be sleeping in a bed a while...

The apartment doesn't have running water yet, and even if it did, we only have the toilet and the shower, and I need somewhere to wash my hands...

My bed isn't made either, literally! It might be made tomorrow with luck...

So far, we've cleaned a little, made a few holes (the paint job doesn't like to have holes made in it... :P) to secure some shelves, and that's it for today, but my mind is working right now...

Most walls will be covered in shelves, which will be full of games, DVDS, comics and figures, but one wall, which is next to the bed won't...

This is where I will hang my prints, and this is what I'm pondering about...

So far, I have the Wapsi print, the Miyamoto print, and the Buckner & Garcia authograped photo, but I'm planning to add more, but...

I'm not sure what to add...

The first thing that comes to mind is... How much distance can I leave between these framed prints? I'm sure there wouldn't look nice if I clustered them right next to each other...

I'd love to get me a B-movie or horror poster, which are easy enough to find on the net, but I just can't decide on which! Godzilla? Frankestein? Dracula?

Prints I'd like to add:

-Sam & Max, which I will purchase ASAP!
-It's Walky/Shortpacked
-Candi
-Girls with Slingshots
-Something from Jin Wicked
-Something from Jennie Breedan

I wonder if I could fit them all in one wall, without looking too cluttered? Heck, I wonder if I can get my hands on prints from all these authors! :P

Game Journal March 25: Meteos and Nanostray, 2X1space game review special!

Since I don't know when I'll have time to play games, and therefore reveiw them, I've been playing a few I will review now...

Oh, also, does anyone think I should just LJ-cut all my reviews?

Anyway on to the games!

Meteos is a puzzle game for the Nintendo DS, planets are throwing Meteos (meteors) at each other and a war is raging! You must prevent your planet from being destroyed and stop this menace!

This game is meant for the stylus, but it can be played with the buttons, not that I'd recommend it, the stylus is just perfect for this game!

How do you play this? Easy, you tap on a Meteos and you can drag it down and up, but not sideways, until you match 3 or more in a row or column. At that moment they ignite and here is where the planet where the battle takes place is important...

You see, once ignited they fly off, but depending on the gravity of the planet if might not be enough! Some planet have low gravity, and once ignited, the Meteos blast off so fast you can see them, but on others you need to make a combo ignition, and on some planets ignited Meteos are heavier than normal ones... Well, you get the idea, each planet has it's own rules, not to mention some are bigger than others and some have different elemental Meteos too...

Yes, Meteos have elements, some represent water, some fire, and these have no importance in the game per se, but you can use them in fusions to "buy" music, planets (characters), items and such...

These elementals look different on each planet, on some they look like Space Invaders, on other they look like Kanji, and and others they look like spheres...

For the single player there are several modes, Star Trip, which is Story Mode, where you can chose several paths to reach different ending, Deluge (play till you fail) and others that will keep you occupied, specially if you want to "buy" all the items, you'll have to play a lot to unlock them all!

Unfortunately, you have to play on multiplayer to unlock everything...

I must say this game is addictive as Tetris! It's a blast!

On to Nanostray!

Nanostray is "shump", or Shoot Em Up, with the typical plot of one ship against and army of evil aliens...

Instead of having to pick up powerups, you have all the different types of lasers from the beginning and you chose which to use on the touch screen, where you also see all your other info status and a radar too...

You have a bar which fill ups with blue coins ships drop, which give you powered up shots of which ever laser you have selected, and also you have the obligatory bomb, which is limited to three per life, and destroys all shots on the screen...

The game is easy to play but hard to master, specially if you want a highscore, you can beat the game with some effort, but high scores are a much harder...

You see, several thing will lower your score, if you shoot too many unnecasry shots, or use a button that sucks up coins too much, you lose points... In other words you have to make every shot count if you want to master the game...

But why would you bother to get a highscore if you can just beat it? Well, you don't have to but there is a challenge mode that unlocks a gallery and you must master the game if you ever want to unlock them all!

If you like these kind of games you'll enjoy Nanostray, but it is a bit hard for the casual shump fan...
