What a ripoff! I had laser surgery and I CAN'T shoot lasers!
But seriously, I'm more or less OK, but it was a horrible experience, the Valium barely helped me at all!
They sliced up my cornea and removed a bit and lasered it back on...
My vision is blurry but right now I can make out what I'm typing and it's a normal thing anyway, the itch and mild pain is too...
I was so scared when someone I knew had his eyes done and told me he had to wear some horrible looking glasses to prevent himself touching his eyes and from sunlight, I only have to wear sunglasses for a few days and use some eye drops...
I got practically the whole day off and tomorrow I have to be there again for a chck-up, so I won't have to work in the morning, meaning I won't have to wake up at 5:30 AM! YAY!
The day isn't over, but I can't really do anything with my eyes like this, so that's it for today, I hope I can watch a movie before going to bed...
could you smell it when they did it? My friend had it doen and she said she could smell her eyeball flesh burning.
Woah! I didn't think people actually read my my journal or even cared!
If you must know, I could see smoke... T_T
My nose got so runny I couldn't smell it...
I had go back home in a taxi because I could barely open my eyes...
My vision is still a bit blurry and I had to set my monitor resolution to 800X600 but hey, here I am....
But I'm still having a little trouble at some sites with odd coloring schemes... But at least I can watch TV and read, if the letters aren't to small that is...
PS: Cute site you have there! :D
Can they do those surgeries if you have an astigmatism?
I'd do it, if I could andI wasn't chicken. I'd have to take a sedative - I get nervous just putting in contacts.
They man before had astigmatism I think, it's harder, but plausible, you'd have to contact them and have a test to see if the operation can be done...
And I'm a nervousarus "Wrex", I couldn't sleep at all at night, and the Valium thyey gave me helped a little, it also made my legs heavy as lead and felt like spaghetti... :P
I think you have to have more than one operation when it's astigmatism, but you can do it, it's also cheaper than it was a few years ago, so you could at least do the test and ask for some info...
Hey congrats on getting it done. If I weren't such a total wuss I'd go for it (I'm 20/25 in the right but something like 20/450 in the left, legally blind) but... yeah, that wuss thing. Nuh-uh. I'll enjoy the results vicariously, through you, instead. :)
