Today’s Crossfit WOD:
Today was not my day! :/ My back was still super sore from Monday’s WOD, so I was dreading doing more deadlifts.
A: Muscles Ups : Couldn’t do one of these AT ALL. I have 0 upperbody strength. Although I was told I have “good kip form.” One day I’ll be able to do it like this girl.
Calories: Rowing was no problem. I wasn’t fast, but I didn’t have to be. Burned about 60 Calories.
Dumbbell Snatches: I was SO mad I couldn’t lift 35lbs. I just couldn’t get it over my head cleanly. I tried 25lbs, then 20lbs. Still couldn’t do it right. Finally at 15lbs I was able to the motion correctly.
Deadlifts and Lateral Burpees: Before we started the workout, we set up all the equipment and tested out how much weight we thought we could do. I knew there was no way I was going to lift 185lbs today. But I thought… maybe 85lbs? Sure. Practiced, and while hard, I could do it.
But after once I started the actual workout, I couldn’t get the bar off the ground. Ended up reducing the weight to 65lbs, and did 3 sets total. 3 sets in 9mins. Ugh.
I know I’m new at this, so I’m not going to be superwoman right away. Especially with all the upper body stuff. But damnit, I’d like to be close to the prescribed weights for women.
Only walked 2.60 miles after class because my back is fucking pissed off at me. Immediately ordered one of these exercise stretch rollers once I got home.
